i must add a comment here that at the end of IT where you incrementally slow down the tempo and drop a half step is maybe the most brilliant and big dog grin moment in all the JOD catalog

Thanks for the congratulations, everyone. My motorboat is powered up, my skis are strapped on... I'll soon be ready to jump the shark!

Andrew: I'm certainly glad you appreciated the self-reference. While it might be considered a smidgen narcissistic-- perhaps even masturbatory-- in this case, I simply couldn't resist. Pass another graham cracker.

Jim: Blame the Don for the repetition. That was one instance where I voted my own arrangement down-- I was sick of it before it was finished.

You really owe it to yourself to listen to Don Henley's "Sunset Grille." Pay particular attention to the synth-sax solo at the end. It may provide you with a lifetime's worth of entertainment in a few short minutes. Now THAT'S what I call value!

'Bab: The perfect song for the perfect root canal.

WOTSAC: Your vouchsafe is highly prized, more than most.

Deej: Why not make it a double feature with "The Nutty Professor II: Meet the Klumps?"

Just make sure your ass is fresh and clean-- you're going to be sitting on that couch for what seems like an eternity.

Congratulations to the two of you! Way to go. Hopefully your fincee has a good enough sense of humor to look at your laughing demon the same way you did.

Regarding the postings, I second Andrews comments on referencing your own tune with the Invisibles. You know how I like reprises and the such. And there's a very playful, party like aesthetic to All She Wants. Same vibe I get from your Celebration (although that track is better in a 'not so repetitive' kind of way).
But the kicker was Sunset Grille. I'm not familiar enough with the original artist's version to even recognize what this song is. I'm sure I've heard it before, but this version here is the kind of music that hooked me from the get-go of my DH fan-ism. It's too bad someone else wrote it first, because I am totally loving the airy chord voicings on the synths over the steady drum beat. Bomb diggity.

I loved hearing you play "Invisible Touch" last Halloween so I am pleased you included it on here. The references to your own "Invisible Man" (one of my favorite Detholz songs) are hilarious and wonderful. I can't remember any other instances of a band referencing one of their own songs in a cover, just Cheap Trick referencing "I Want You To Want Me" by name in their follow-up/carbon-copy of that track, "How Are You."

But congrats on the engagement and keep the tunes coming!
